It will interest also the Italian territory, also with only a stage, the Tour de France 2011. The run of the most important race in the world will face in fact also a stage in Piedmont, the seventeenth, with arrival in the town of Pinerolo. 2011 Tour de France, already officially presented by the organizers, will be held as tradition during three weeks of race, with finish line on the classical road circuit of the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Before the arrival in Paris, the 2011 Tour will cross as tradition the mythical mountains of Alps and Pyrenees, with four arrivals on the top. It will also be a Tour de France with very long transfers, the last of which the day before the finish, when riders will have to reach Paris from the Alpe d’Huez. 2011 Tour de France, that apart Paris won’t cross any place in the north east of the Country, will start on Saturday July 2nd from Vendee, to cross then the Britain and the center of the France up to Pyrenees, that it will cross along almost the whole border with Spain, before reaching Provence and then the Alps, last difficult before the finish line in Paris.
