The Giro del Veneto is a professional road race, held during the month of August on the roads in the region of Veneto.
The first time was in 1909, and in spite of interrupts caused by the war, it is becoming increasingly important, and now it is cycle race of the UCI Europe Tour since 2005.

The route of the 81st edition of the Giro del Veneto startsand fishes at Padua, on August 29, over a length of 200 km in the provinces of Padua and Venice.

For the 2009 Giro del Veneto, fifteen participating teams (Pro Tour teams included: Katusha, Lampre and Liquigas-NGC-Doimo).
