Description
The forest of Deiva Mount is included/understood inside the Park Regional of Beigua, recognized international “Geoparco” under the aegis of UNESCO.
The surface has a surface of 860 hectares and includes/understands the slopes which Deiva Mount go down to the torrents Erro, Ciua and Giovo.
The forest has a huge vegetation, with abundance of sweet chestnut and oaks. Along its paths it is possible to meet the deer.
Obviously the access to the forest requires the compliance with all the rules which regulate the frequentation of protected natural surfaces.
The itinerary
The forest is just out the town of Sassello, few hundreds meters far from the principal square.
When you exceeds the grid which delimits the domanial surface, you cross a bridge and you are is into the park.
The route follows along the beaten overland route which goes up crossing the wood.
Joints in correspondence of a crossing continue in rise, while hardly folding on the line.
The deviation on the left, carries to the Bigliati Palace, or Bellavista castle.
Little beyond this first bit finishes ascending feature (km 1,7) and pedalling into full, on sliding ground and without difficulties.
To the following junction (km 2,5) you follow the out road on the way, to a detached house located at the medium from a circle of trees.
With junction (km 4) one folds on the right, while beginning again for a little going up.
In correspondence of the kilometer 5.8 you leave the road to choose a large path which goes down towards a small valley.
Well quickly however the path is restricted, but cycling.
When you arrive where some old houses are(310 m find; km 8,8) and where you can stop, then you go up along the course already known to junction (km 11,8), by thus achieving a conversion towards right-hand side.
Still on the sliding layout you arrive at a short rise which carries to a collar (530 m of which; km 14,6), you continue in descent around the 708 meters Mount Deiva.
It is visible the profile of the long contour of Beigua Mount.
You turn in proximities of the castle (km 18,6) you continue on the right, going down towards departure (km 20).
