Panettone from Lombardia

The Panettone is a cake of ancient origin… the popular tradition says that Panettone means “noble’s bread” (from the French pan de ton bread of “élite”). In reality it sinks its roots into the popular Christmas atmosphere where its name simply meant “big bread”.
It was a special cake only prepared on Christmas time.
The Pizzoccheri from Valtellina

A flat valley, a place where winter temperatures are hard. We are in Valtellina, specifically Chiavenna Valley in Sondrio. Here the flavors and colors of the mountain merge to create a landscape truly impressive and delicious dishes. One of these are the PIZZOCCHERI, made with the two flours, one white and one of buckwheat.
Typical dishes from Valtellina and Garda Lake
