Giro del Veneto

This year’s edition of the Giro del Veneto will start and finish in Padua, with participants riding through the Euganean Hills. Last year, the Giro started from Abano and successfully promoted not only cycle-tourism in Veneto, but also the well-known spa centres of Abano and Montegrotto.

Stelvio Bike is a delightful event which follows the famous route of the Stelvio Pass: an itinerary sure to impress anyone who enjoys cycle-tourism in Trentino. The competition involves cycling through the heart of the Stelvio National Park, along roads closed to traffic for the occasion. The riders have to negotiate 48 difficult bends before reaching the Stelvio Pass at a height of 2,757 metres.

Fausto Coppi Gran Fondo

The Fausto Coppi Gran Fondo – Selle San Marco is one of the best known Gran Fondo events in Piedmont. If you are planning a cycling holiday in Piedmont, you can enjoy this competition with its famous ascents.
The event involves cyclists in two routes: one of 198 km and another of 111 km. The longer route includes 6 stages with such difficult ascents as the Montemale, the Colle Sampeye (2284 metres) and the Colle dei Morti (2485 metres). The shorter route only consists of 3 stages.

Val Gardena Bike Marathon

This famous Gran Fondo event forms part of the UDACE calendar and qualifies for the Italian individual championships. The route starts and finishes at Ortisei in the Gardena Valley passing through a beautiful part of the Dolomites, classified as a UNESCO heritage park.
The course covers a distance of 111.5 kilometres, following roads that have played an important role in cycling history, with such wonderful stages as Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi, Passo Fedaia, Canazei, S. Cristina and Ortisei. The competition is open to all and offers scope for both expert riders and cycle-tourists. Only the ascents are subject to time-trials, while the rest of the course is suitable for amateurs. There is a new feature this year: the opportunity to take part using electrically-assisted pedal cycles.
