The “Giro della Sardegna” (Tour of Sardinia)
The “Giro di Sardegna” is a unique amateur event, staged over 7 consecutive days and based at Cala Ginepro, Orosei, in the Alghero area. The first day consists of a “Granfondo”, and this is followed by a series of in-line and time-trial stages, both individual and in teams, but always ridden over different routes to extend familiarity with the north-west part of the island. In 2012, the event will be staged from April 22nd-28th.
