Tonara: Sagra del torrone (Nougat festival)

On Easter Monday every year, the village of Tonara is crowded with stands displaying local crafts and food products. However, the main focus of the event is the “torrone” nougat, which is prepared in open-air kitchens and offered still warm to visiting tourists. Also of interest are the famous carpets, still woven on the old-style looms.
